Maria is beautiful, of refined beauty, light, non-trivial, that dodges, never weighs. She laughs by biting yet another hamburger.  We have competition since years on who will find the new place to eat.
She shares kittens, but then her video direction work with Marco Adamo Graziosi is poetry, quality, and innovation.
Maria has a sense of style and class, always authentic and never boring; a bit ‘French, never too prepared.

What is needed to make a nice video? I imagine that budget and equipment have considerable relevance but also culture and creative thinking are important.
It is an important and very actual question. In the fashion world, a video is often read with the same language of photography, but in reality, it is about two different worlds with different needs. Every detail requires a different key if with photography it is possible to remain in the same territory of style and taste with minimal and maximum means, in the video you encounter more obstacles.
Culture is fundamental, but it is fundamental not to depend on it, otherwise, you live copying what others did, consciously or not. My way of working is to create a sort of mental archive in which I collect impulses, reflections, and sensations that have remained etched and that I would like to transmit back, more than images. As we are used to work, Marco and I, it is a balanced combination of idea and style.

In the society of the image, what should a video tell? What are the topics to be treated?
Fashion has always been a reflection of society but I think our generation is awakening from a superficial conscience. It is a new development for the human being and an important and stimulating process that I try to listen to, understand and translate through my directing work.
The themes to be told in the videos must represent inclusion and respect for different cultures and personalities.

You spend time between New York and Milan. What do you find in New York that is not in Milan?
Everything! A few days ago I was looking at a documentary about William Klein and He, now a very old Parisian by adoption, was asked what he missed in New York. Initially, he replied "the great restaurants!" And at the mention of agreement with the interviewer, he continued with "syke! I do not give a shit about New York restaurants. “ I laughed and then I thought he was right, New York has it all, it's all, you can potentially do what you want but it's often like it's empty. Milan is the opposite, all hidden and to be discovered. New York is foursquare, Milan is word of mouth.

Tell me about your favorite emojis. We are in a period of communicative change, we find emojis on luxury bags like those by Hindmarch that have become part of our language, they are seriousness vs irony. What is your interpretation?
Emoticons are an invention that has totally changed modern communication. I myself live of emoji and I could communicate quietly just like that,  like a rebus. It 's my perfect way so much that I made my friends download Telegram declaring that I would have talked only via gif from then on.

Do you have rituals to take care of yourself?
I have lots of them. I've always been fascinated by the ritual in general, and I find that it's also a beautiful concept.
Speaking of beauty I have my favorite beautician, Antonella, who is also an astrologer. When I go to her it is all a ritual from the treatments I choose to endless talk about the moons in scorpion, affinities and retrograde Mercury. I have natural potions like mosqueta rose oil and neem oil.

Perfume is a mean by which to express personality. You collect perfumes. What are your favorite notes, tell me your 5 perfumes of the heart.
I collect perfumes and lingerie, it's my way of adorning the body. The clothes come later. My favorite family of perfumes is the gourmand one,  the more edible it is,  the happier I am. Choosing only five is difficult, I have a collection of more than thirty fragrances and each has its own motif. My top five is:

  1. Musc Maori of Parfumerie General because it's my winter,
  2. 2 #  Nota di Viaggio by Meo Fusciuni's because it's special
  3. Petit Fracas of Piguet to be fancy
  4. St Barth's vanilla because it is my vanilla
  5. Rose Muskissime Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier because it is the perfume of my grandmother

What would you write on a billboard in the center of Milan?
I do not like slogans so I would do a design that makes children think.

Tutto! I don’t give a shit about New York restaurants.” New York è foursquare, Milano è il passaparola.

I vestiti vengono dopo.
