A simple everyday meditation.
  • Sit in a comfortable position with your back upright, wherever you are seated: on the sofa, on a chair in the office, on the subway, on an airplane, on your mat.
  • Close your eyes and relax.
  • Begin to inhale from your nose and visualize your breath beginning, rising slowly up, from the abdomen, the lungs, through the rib cage and opening up the shoulders.
  • Exhale with the same rhythm you inhaled and slowly let your breath out from your nostrils. Release your breath, lower your shoulders and let your breath sink to your stomach while remaining conscious.

Repeat every day for one to five minutes to regain concentration and calm.
