Many times they think we are sisters. An affinity in taste or perhaps in hair. We've known each other for some time. We have shared all the various changes in our lives.
We talk every day and we like to always try to do something together.
I admired her choices: from the passion for photography that took her to Paris, working in the press office, the years in Dimore Studio and now in her new interior studio.
It is the enthusiasm with which she does everything, without the fear of change.

Describe one of the last projects you've done.
A small restaurant in Milan in Via Piacenza, called Da Bass, is a cozy bistro with an atmosphere full of positive energy. The interiors, which I designed, are enriched with furnishings that are the result of a long search in the world of modernism and some custom made pieces.
This project had a very fast and very intense development that I loved because, in addition to the days, it filled my heart.

If the city of Milan gives you the chance to rethink space, what would it be? In addition to the architectural structure and the interior, what would you like it to be dedicated to?
I have always wanted to be able to recover the space that once housed Milan's shooting range, in Piazzale Accursio. A historic palace surrounded by a park.
Today I would dedicate space to the arts, from performances to contemporary art as well as video art, music, and theatre. Six thousand square meters to discover the art and live a wonderful garden in a neighborhood that is in great need of the attention of the Milanese community.

When it comes to coloring walls I'm in trouble, I love light tones combined with warm caramel colors and minimal spaces, at the same time I'm amazed by colorful environments, like the home of Guillermo Santomá and Raquel Quevedo. How do you decide which color is better than another?
I follow my first impulse and try to agree on the definition of fabrics and finishes to the choice of color, but I am rarely pushed to modify my vision if I managed to create a harmonious whole.
One thing I have learned is that I never get scared by color and try to risk not immediate choices by firmly believing in the character that they can give to space.

What brings to your mind the term precision?
My mother's agenda.

What is the spring that drives you to change the state of things in which you are and leave?
Instinct, I always follow it and, unfortunately, or fortunately, I'm not afraid of it.

What role does love play in your choices?
Fundamental. Love pushes me, guides me, calms me, stimulates me. My partner, my family, and my cats are what I’m sure about.

You have been approaching yogic practice for a few years. How did it affect your life?
It changed me. It changed how I feel with myself and therefore has radically influenced how I interact with the others. I smile more and my mind is ready to listen.

Do you have rituals that help you feel confident about yourself?
The red cardinal lipstick makes me feel super powerful.

What would you write on a billboard in the center of Milan?
Smile to yourself.

Is there anything you think others think of as insane?
The influence of the phases of the moon on our daily life is sure.

What do you find useful when you're feeling stagnant?
I learned to choose simplicity, not to over-structure thought and to follow the heart.

Molte volte ci scambiano per sorelle. Abbiamo affinità nei gusti o forse nei capelli. Ci conosciamo da tempo. Abbiamo condiviso tutti i vari cambiamenti delle nostre vite.
Ci sentiamo quotidianamente e ci piace provare sempre a fare qualcosa insieme.
Ho ammirato le sue scelte: dalla passione per la fotografia che l'ha portata a Parigi, al lavoro in ufficio stampa, agli anni in Dimore Studio e ora il lavoro del suo nuovo studio di interni.
Di lei mi piace l'entusiasmo con il quale fa tutto, senza la paura del cambiamento.

Descrivimi uno degli ultimi progetti che hai realizzato.
Un piccolo ristorante a Milano in Via Piacenza, si chiama Dabass, è un bistrot accogliente con un'atmosfera carica di energia positiva. Gli interni, che ho disegnato, sono arricchiti di arredi che sono frutto di una lunga ricerca nel mondo del modernariato e di alcuni pezzi custom made.
Questo progetto ha avuto uno sviluppo molto veloce e davvero intenso che ho amato perché, oltre alle giornate, mi ha riempito il cuore.

Se il comune di Milano ti desse la possibilità di ripensare ad uno spazio, quale sarebbe? Oltre alla struttura architettonica ed agli interni a cosa vorresti fosse dedicato?
Da sempre vorrei poter recuperare lo spazio che una volta ospitava il poligono di tiro di Milano, in piazzale Accursio. Un palazzo storico circondato da un parco.
Ad oggi dedicherei lo spazio alle arti, dalle performance all'arte contemporanea oltre a video art, musica e teatro. Seimila metri quadri per scoprire l'arte e vivere un meraviglioso giardino in un quartiere che ha molto bisogno dell'attenzione della comunità milanese.

Quando si tratta di colorare muri sono in difficoltà, amo i toni chiari abbinati a quelli caldi color caramello. Prediligo ambienti minimal ed allo stesso tempo rimango stupita da ambienti colorati, come la casa di Guillermo Santomá e Raquel Quevedo. Come fai a decidere quale colore è meglio di un altro?
Seguo il mio primo impulso e cerco di accordare poi la definizione di tessuti e finiture alla scelta del colore, raramente sono poi spinta a modificare la mia visione se sono riuscita a creare un insieme armonico.
Una cosa che ho imparato è di non farmi mai spaventare dal colore e provare ad azzardare scelte non immediate credendo fermamente nel carattere che potranno dare a uno spazio.

Cosa ti fa venire in mente il termine precisione?
L'agenda di mia mamma.

Quale è la molla che ti spinge a cambiare lo stato delle cose nel quale ti trovi e ripartire?
L'istinto, lo seguo sempre e, purtroppo o per fortuna, non ne ho timore.

Che ruolo gioca l'amore nelle tue scelte?
Fondamentale. L'amore mi spinge, mi guida, mi calma, mi stimola. La mia compagna, la mia famiglia e i miei gatti sono quello che ho di certo.

Da qualche anno ti sei avvicinata alla pratica yogica. Come ha influito nella tua vita?
Mi ha cambiata. Ha cambiato come mi sento con me stessa e quindi ha radicalmente influito su come interagisco con l'altro. Sorrido di più e la mia mente è pronta ad ascoltare.

Hai dei rituali che ti aiutano a sentirti sicura di te stessa?
Il rossetto rosso cardinale mi fa sentire super powerfull.

Cosa scriveresti su un billboard in centro a Milano?
Sorridi a te stesso.

C'è qualcosa in cui credi che gli altri reputano folle?
Sicuramente l'influsso delle fasi lunari sulla nostra vita quotidiana.

Cosa trovi utile fare quando ti senti in una situazione stagnante?
Ho imparato a scegliere con semplicità, a non sovrastrutturare il pensiero e a seguire il cuore.
